Carmen: Hello, I’d like to reserve a table for dinner on Sunday.
Hostess: Okay. What time would you be arriving?
Carmen: We would arrive around 7:00 pm.
Hostess: We’re usually open at 7:00 pm from Monday through Saturday but are closed from 4:30 to 7:30 pm on Sundays. Would you like to come around 7:30 pm?
Carmen: Yes, that works too.
Hostess: Perfect. How many people would be coming?
Carmen: Four people.
Hostess: All right. May I please have your name?
Carmen: Yes, my name is Carmen Rojas.
Hostess: All right, Ms. Rojas, you have a reservation for four people at 7:30 pm on Sunday. Do you need anything else?
Carmen: Yes, I just wanted to ask if there’s parking available at the restaurant?
Hostess: Yes, there is.
Carmen: Great. Thanks so much.
Hostess: Thank you for calling Magnolia. See you soon.
Waiter: Good evening, would you like to see our special drinks menu in addition to the food menu?
Juan: Hello, yes, I’d like to see both menus.
Waiter: Here they are.
Juan: What is today’s special?
Waiter: Our special today is grilled salmon with roasted garlic potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Juan: That sounds good. I’ll have that please.
Waiter: All right. Would you like an appetizer before we bring the salmon? And would you like something to drink?
Juan: No, I don’t want an appetizer. I’ll take a look at the drinks menu and let you know in a bit, but for now may I have some water please?
Waiter: Certainly. I’ll be back shortly.
Juan: (Waiter comes back) I think I’ll have a glass of wine.
Waiter: Would you like a Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon?
Juan: Merlot, please.
Waiter: Okay. Your dish and wine will come in a few minutes.
Juan: Thank you.
Waiter: Everything okay with your meal?
Catalina: Yes, it was great.
Waiter: Would you like any dessert?
Catalina: No thank you, but I will have a cup of tea.
Waiter: All right.
Catalina: Can I also have the bill please?
Waiter: Certainly. Let me get that for you.
Catalina: Thank you.
Waiter: (Returns) Here is your tea and here is the bill. How would you like to pay?
Catalina: Thanks. I’d like to pay by card.
Waiter: All right. I just need your signature. Here is your receipt.
